จุฬาฯ ยอมรับให้โควตาสาธิตฯ 80 คนจริง ยัน ไม่ไปเบียดบังจากโรงเรียนหรือภูมิภาคอื่น
ผู้สื่อข่าวรายงานว่า นายปมทอง มาลากุล ณ อยุธยา รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิชาการ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย กล่าวถึงกรณีที่มีการแชร์ข้อมูลผ่านโซเชียลมิเดีย ระบุว่า ในปี 2561 จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ได้มีการจัดโควตาให้กับนักเรียนของโรงเรียนสาธิตจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย (ฝ่ายมัธยม) จำนวนหลายสิบอัตรา ซึ่งอาจทำให้สังคมตั้งข้อสงสัยเรื่องความไม่เป็นธรรมในการรับเข้าเรียน ว่า การให้โควตาดังกล่าว เป็นเรื่องจริง แต่เป็นการทำตามนโยบายของกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ (ศธ.) ที่ให้มีการปรับการระบบการรับเด็กเข้าเรียนต่อในมหาวิทยาลัย ซึ่งที่ประชุมอธิการบดีแห่งประเทศไทย(ทปอ.) ได้ปรับระบบมาเป็น การรับสมัครคัดเลือกบุคคลเข้าศึกษาในสถาบันอุดมศึกษาในระบบกลาง หรือ Thai university Central Admission System (TCAS) แบ่งการรับออกเป็น 5 รอบ รอบที่ 1 รับด้วยแฟ้มสะสมงาน รอบที่ 2 การรับแบบโควตาที่มีการสอบข้อเขียนหรือการสอบภาคปฏิบัติ สำหรับนักเรียนที่อยู่ในเขตพื้นที่หรือภาค โควตาโรงเรียนในเครือข่าย และโครงการความสามารถพิเศษต่างๆ รอบที่ 3 การรับตรงร่วมกัน รอบที่ 4 การรับแบบการคัดเลือกบุคคลเข้าศึกษาต่อในสถาบันอุดมศึกษาในระบบกลางการรับนิสิตนักศึกษาหรือแอดมิสชั่นส์ และรอบที่ 5 การรับตรงอิสระ ทั้งนี้โควตาของจุฬาฯ จะเปิดรับในรอบที่ 2 ซึ่งเปิดโอกาสให้รับนักเรียนในโรงเรียนเครือข่ายเข้าเรียนได้
“การให้โควตาเด็กโรงเรียนสาธิต จุฬาฯ ฝ่ายมัธยม เราทำเป็นปีแรก ตามนโยบายของศธ. และทปอ.ซึ่งในการรับรอบ 2 เปิดโอกาสให้มีโควตาจากโรงเรียนเครือ และโรงเรียนสาธิต จุฬาฯ ก็ถือเป็นโรงเรียนเครือข่ายของจุฬาฯ ที่สำคัญไม่ใช่ว่า เด็กจะเข้าเรียนได้ทันที ต้องมีคุณสมบัติตามที่แต่ละคณะกำหนด เช่น เกรดเฉลี่ยขั้นต่ำ ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่จะกำหนดไว้ไม่ต่ำกว่า 3.00 รวมถึงต้องผ่านการทดสอบที่ทางทปอ. จัดขึ้น ไม่ว่าจะเป็น การทดสอบความถนัดทั่วไป หรือGAT และการทดสอบความถนัดทางวิชาการ/วิชาชีพ หรือPAT การสอบวิชาสามัญ9 วิชา เป็นต้น “รองอธิการบดีจุฬาฯ กล่าวและว่า ทั้งนี้จุฬาฯ จะให้โควตาเด็กโรงเรียนสาธิตฯ เข้าเรียนจำนวน 80 คน ซึ่งเป็นตัวเลขจากการสำรวจสถิติ ย้อนหลัง 5 ปี ว่า มีเด็กโรงเรียนสาธิตฯ เข้าเรียนจุฬาฯได้ปีละประมาณ 80-100 คน ดังนั้นเราจึงเราตามสถิติตรงนี้ ยืนยันว่า การให้โควตาดังกล่าว ไม่ไปเบียดบังนักเรียนจากโรงเรียนหรือภูมิภาคอื่น แน่นอน เพราะจุฬาฯ เปิดรับถึง 5 รอบ และส่วนใหญ่ ไปรับเด็กเข้าเรียนในรอบแอดมิสชั่นส์และรับตรงมากกว่า รวมถึงยังมีโควตาประเภทอื่น ๆ ให้เด็กได้เข้าเรียนอย่างทั่วถึงด้วย เช่น โควตาชนบท รับนักเรียนเรียนดีแต่ยากจน ปีละประมาณ 200 คนเข้าเรียน โควตากีฬา ดนตรี ศิลปะ เป็นต้น โดยในปีการศึกษา 2561 จุฬาฯ รับเด็กเข้าเรียนจำนวน 7,000 คน
